Many of would have eaten Dal bati or Bafla bati in restaurants and wished we could make the same in our homes but we think its difficult to make, in this article you will we will show you a easy recipe to try at your homes.

Ingredients for four Servings of Dal Bafla Bati

  • Two cup of Atta
  • Quarter Cup Rava
  • One spoon Jeera
  • Quarter Spoon Ajwain
  • Salt & Half Quarter Spoon Baking Soda
  • Half Cup Ghee
  • Five spoons of Cooking oil

Bafla Bati Preparation Method

1. Mix the Atta flour and Rava flour with salt,baking soda

2. When the dough is thick , punch a small hole in it pour 2 spoons of ghee and four spoons of oil and kned the atta

3.Boil six glasses of water in a vessel and let the dough rest for 20 minutes

4. Grease your hands with ghee and make dough balls and flatten them a little

5.After the water is boiled, slowly put bati (Flatten Dough Pieces) in the water, keep the flame medium and let it cook for 10 to 15 min

6. Turn the flame up to high and cook for more two minutes, now the bati will be swollen and will have some cracks on them, after this turn off the flame and let them cool for 2-3 minutes.

7. Now you can bake the bati in microwave or cook in pan, we cooked in pan, you need to put some ghee on the pan and let the bati cook and when both the sides are done cooking and are in golden brown color, they are cooked, just break the bati and por some ghee on top of it

8.Now Bafla bati is ready.

Method to Cook Dal for Bafla bati

Dal bafla bati

  • Take 2 cups of toor dal and half cup of slit yellow Moong dal add it in a vessel or cooker
  • 3 diced Tomatoes, One inch ginger
  • 8-10 Cloves of garlic
  • 3 diced onions
  • 2 green Chilli cut it into normal slice
  • Put turmeric,salt and add two spoons of ghee in the cooker
  • Cook the same in a pressure cooker for 20-30 minutes
  • To add further taste we add a Tadka to the dal

After dal is cooked , To add tadka, take a pan and pour two spoons of ghee, mustard seeds, Jeera, Curry leaves,two red chilies, a little red chilli powder and the mixture is brown in color pour in the dal and granish with coriander.

Method to Make Green Chutney for Bafla Bati

Bafla bati Chutney

  • Take hand and full of coriander and Pudhina leaves
  • Take two green chilli , five to six garlic cloves , add a small piece of garlic
  • Add 4 spoons of raw chutney dal
  • Add Salt as your taste
  • Grind it in Mixer
