Why Bluetti EP500 Power Station?

Most of the power stations available in the consumer market are good enough for powering your basic appliances, but what about the big appliances? Or if you need to power many appliances at once, say a backyard party or even during prolonged power cuts.

That`s where the Bluetti EP500 comes into the picture, this is a huge power station that can be moved easily and, offers some amazing features like quick charging, solar power charging, an App to manage the power station, etc. In case of power shutdown, etc.

In case of a power failure or maintenance shutdown, the 15 outlet sources allow you to power anything from laptops and air conditioners to your electric vehicles without breaking a sweat.

In July 2020, Bluetti made the initial move to replace traditional gasoline generators with their ground-breaking AC200 Model. The AC200 featured a 2000 Watt rated inverter with 1700 watt-hour battery capacity, a large array of outlets (including a 25A 12V outlet), and up to 700W solar input with an advanced built-in MPPT controller.

The Bluetti AC200 raised over US$6.8M on Indiegogo and changed the game in the portable power market immediately upon its release.


Features of Bluetti EP500

The Bluetti EP500 is a 5100Wh power station that is almost triple in size, as the traditional portable power stations available in the market. This can be easily controlled via the B-Lync APP, The EP500 also comes with a 2 year warranty period, Like all the Bluetti Power stations. According to Bluetti “EP500 can achieve up to 40 years of theoretical service life without using any grid energy!”

Smaller Version: Bluetti AC200P

We did the feature review of the Bluetti AC200P portable power station a few months ago, which had a very similar feature set as the EP500, but has a smaller battery capacity and is mostly used only when required or for a short period of time.

This power station pretty much looks like 4 wheel trolley suitcase, and looks quite stylish, in the above image you can see a side view of this power station.

On the front side, we have a bright screen display on the top, that shows the battery usage and charging parameters such as the power input/output usages, and below the display, we have the ports.

The Real-Time Display Shows Current, Voltage, Power, Temperature, And Charging Status. Users Can Independently Alter The Output Voltage, Frequency, Charging Mode, etc.

Below the display, we have some ports and vents that help in better airflow, this helps in maintaining a normal temperate of the power station when it is being used extensively.

This power station has a app for its monitoring and usage, that`s really cool, we generally don`t have apps for PowerStation’s, but with the B-Lynk app, Bluetti made the operations and monitoring of tis power station for the user easy.


Battery & Charging on the Bluetti EP500

The Bluetti EP500 has an IfePo4 Battery Cell which is very huge and is rated at 5100wh. The Battery has an impressive life cycle of 6000+ recharges and has a shelf life of 3-6 months, which is quite good as you don’t need to charge it often.

The Built-In MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) is Optimized to the Maximum Charging Efficiency Via Solar Panels, which gives Up To 40% Faster Charging Times.

You can charge this power station via Wall outlets and Solar Panels, it generally takes 9-10 hours to fully charge on the wall outlet (600W) and around 5-6 Hours vis solar panels (1200W).


Conclusion

Overall the Bluetti EP500 seems to a Stylish power station with a huge battery, that works as UPS as well as a portable power station that we can move around, If you are someone who hosts a lot of parties or do a lot of camping, you should consider this power station, given its feature set this makes a perfect power station for all your outdoor and indoor power requirements.
